Mexican Migration Records From The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services

If you are reading this blog there is a very high probability that your ancestors are from Mexico and you are trying to find your ancestry though genealogical research. I can also safely assume that most ancestors of Americans were born in other countries as well since this is a nation of migrants.

Fortunately for us The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services website can help us get more information about those ancestors that immigrated to the United States. They have a section of their website that is dedicated to document requests of your deceased ancestors.

Let me just be clear. I am providing this post as researched information and not from experience since I have not tried the process my self. If I ever find an ancestor that has records with them I will request their information and document the process.

Here is a screen shot of their Website:

The only Records that are Available Through them are:

If you have any information or know for sure that any of your ancestors had any of the above mentioned records you should look into getting the records that they might have about him or her. The above also includes immigrants form Mexico and other parts of the world.

If you try this service or have tried it in the past please leave us a comment telling us about it.
