Historia de la Conquista de Mexico - History of the Conquest of Mexico

Historia de la Conquista de Mexico – History of the Conquest of Mexico

Here is another book concerning the conquest of Mexico that I am sure you will find fascinating. It is called the “Historia de la Conquista de Mexico” by Francisco Lopez de Gomara. Let me just warn you that it is fully in Spanish.

I know that back on October 21, 2015 I shared another book with you another book by Bernal Diaz del Castillo titled “The True History of the Conquest of New Spain” that one is in English and highly recommend it. both of these books are great and if you can download them to your eBook library since both are available for free. Also, you never know for how much longer they will be like that. This book mentions a lot of names and if you are lucky one of your ancestors may be mentioned here.

As I have mentioned before my 13th great grandfather Alonso de Estrada was one of the first royal appointees to arrive in Mexico, he was treasurer of La Nueva Espana. In this book, his name appears over 20 times and the stories included are awesome and provide much detail about him and his work and the intricacies of politics at the time.

That you for the opportunity to read this ebook, but I’m sorry to say that I don’t read Spanish well enough to read truly gain the essence on the history. Is there a way to have it translated into English?
